We’ve been working with these clients since our very beginning and this event is definitely a highlight of our year. It can be difficult to plan an annual event without making it seem like the “same old same old”. The key is creating the right balance between familiarity and intrigue. Each year has a similar vibe and structure; a great group of friends, AMAZING outfits (especially the hats), Mint Juleps and a very exciting 2 minutes of race time.
However, every year we switch up the custom catering options while always delivering on our client’s favorite, a cheese & charcuterie spread. We always have Mint Juleps and local craft beer but develop a different signature cocktail inspired by each Derby. We have even introduced a custom gambling board so guests can interact and place their bets on their favorite pony. Creating that balance of familiarity and intrigue is one of the reasons our clients invite us back each year.
